So I went to see Funeral for a Friend last night. They were playing with Fightstar, Emanuel, and Alexisonfire. It was a good show overall. Emanuel seemed to just be going through the motions and it was only the 3rd show of the tour. Alexisonfire was real hyped up and they really got the crowd into it. Surprisingly enough the crowd wasn't dominated by 14 years olds. There was a mix despite the all ages show. FFAF was great. They did not disappoint. There new material live is really good. I am pretty sure they knew that after the disc was done. They played a great mix of songs from their existence. They are pretty fun guys or so it seems. I was singing at the top of my lungs. It has been a while since I went to a show and wanted to listen to that bands CD the next morning. This was one of those shows.

What did bother me is that I took someone with me last night. They were affected harshly by the impact of the drums and stuff. They felt like their stomach was vibrating and it was not a good feeling. I kept asking if they wanted to go and we got into an argument afterwards about how I do not go to endanger someone's health despite wanting to see a band badly. This happened to me at last year's warped tour. It was a very hot and sunny day and the person I was with was complaining so much about it. You could see their shoulders getting burnt. Everyone there was feeling the same thing. It wasn't like you couldn't go sit under the pavilion for a break. I just got tired of the complaining that we left before the last 4 or 5 bands hit the stage. I do not want to put someone in a situation that they feel sick or ill or what have you. At the same time you need to expect certain things at a rock show. I am not cold hearted though. We can go if it is that bad. I have walked out of shows not being able to open my eyes from the pressure build up that I get occasionally due to a small case of vertigo. I know what these things can do to you. Just try to be more prepared for it.
