Spider... I hadn't mentioned this before but I (well we) had a lovely wolf spider living with us in our living room until this weekend. As you know I was quite ill (much better now) and while I was sleeping and Aversin was looking away, our friend came out to investigate the room and was promptly stomped by a guest... (Who REALLY knew better than to do such in my home)... Anyhow... enough with that...

That was so useful thank you! I couldnt find much when i was searching. I had to go back to Edinburgh quickly so I didnt get a chance to try any of the places but I will be back with my binoculars soon. I am in love with that goldfinch. I got an amazing book today, it is over 100 species of birds photographed in the hands of ornithologists and they are combined with over 5000 years of writing on birds 
Damn, you don't actually realise how sticky spider webs are until you've attempted to rescue a giant bumblebee from one. Three of its legs were wrapped up in web and it was not a happy bee! Thank you so much for the set comment! Its true that all puppys need walking! I found a really cool moth last night, it was flying at a shop window, it was huge and sort of orange coloured but I couldnt get it to stay still. I found two dead butterflies too which I've added to my collection, I have yet to identify them though. Hope you are well xx

Lol, took the kiddos to see the Mexican Free Tail bats this evening. Was quite impressive to see about 40,000 bats leave a cave at the same time! Bad news for moths in the area though, as they are the bats favorite food! Hope your doing well man.

Thanks for the comments on my rabbit and the pictures. I think that was definately the best angle for the rabbit, there are definately so many improvements for the next time, sad or good (whatever way you look at it) I have plenty more to practice on, I am going to do the black one last because I only have one of those and it is the most unusual. I love that headline! I wish I could travel through portals. I hope you find the best fossil there is!!

I have been tryin to get ahold of this one for awhile, I had heard about it...but never got around to it...I think my Argento collection is like almost complete now...(I am SO mad about The whole DANGER DIABOLIK from Bava tho!) I got a few good ones that you may be into, and I would love to chat soon...Lotsa Film stuff, and you know...the usual...Hey! Did you know that they have voice messaging with the newest version of Yahoo? Like why the HELL am I paying for 2 friggin cell phones, when...Yahoo is free?? We should take advantage of that next time we chat.

I don't have anything comparible in my collection of dead things.
Just a lotta dead bugs, some dead birds, and such....
I did manage to buy a woodwind-type insterment (its reeds and such are missing, so it no longer can make a sound) made from a human femor.
I was told by its seller (an ancent man in a currio shop at the night market in cheng mai, Thailand -beleve it or not -sounds like a horror movie cleche, huh?) that the flute came from Tibet, and was smuggeled through china to Thailand.
I know the Tibetens love making art from human remains, so it sounded likely enough to me.
I really did like that illustration of the fly a lot. I'd love to see more. You really should keep working on that stuff. There is obvious talent and portential in that piece. It be a shame to let those skills go to waste. Although the world is full of shameful things.
Time restraints can be a killer too. I know that my painting speed has plummeted. It takes me so long to finish a piece now. It would be neigh impossible for me to produce any noteworth amount of work while holding down a forty-hour job.
Do you ever work in colors? In oils? Or water collors a la Audobon?
