Okay, I've never seen the show Firefly. That said, the movie Serenity absolutely blew me away. It's like someone squashed all of my favorite action movies together and made it cohesive; it's part old school Star Wars, part The Matrix, part Indiana Jones, part Resident Evil, part X-Men. I am going to so far as to say it's best space movie since the first three Star Wars. Go see it right now.

I also double dog dare you to tell me a better non-Star Wars space movie than this.

Yep, Thursday, but I wouldn't call myself competition--there's a fine line between art and overthought feminist drivel, and I toe the line far too often. wink

I ran out of paperclips for the cover sheets on my applications and had to use bobby pins...not sure whether that will work in my favor or not. Maybe one of the professors will really need a bobby pin?

Lucky you--I haven't written anything submittable in something like 5 months, so I basically gave them my 34P final portfolio. Things have just been going too well for me to write decently. If someone would make me angry/sad/lonely it would be much easier, but the jerks keep being friendly and kind. Fuckwads. whatever
