In other news, This entire part of the state is either flooded or tornado-ravaged. Just lovely. It started last week when I went to see Alkaline Trio and we had to pull the car over to wait out a hailstorm. Flooding on Monday, tornados today. Hurricane on its way. I actually really love it. Big storms are inspirational as hell. I've been writing a lot during the rain, so I'll post a new poem in the near future.
Heard about those bombings in London this morning. Que terrible. Is there a death toll yet? I know there are a lot of SG's and members in the UK, and I can't imagine what they are going through right now. My heart goes out to all of you. Hard to find the beauty in a world that lets shit like that happen. I still believe in the natural goodness of humans, but it's getting harder. You're all in my prayers.
On a lighter note - well, not exactly chipper, but anything is a lighter note in comparison to terrorist bombings - I drove by a glowing graveyard on the way home from work tonite. Hundreds of tiny lighted crosses, as far as I could see. Not crosses with lights on them, the crosses were the actual lights. Beautiful and sublimely tacky at the same time. Also on my way home, I saw a big sign that said STOP AND LOOK!! So I pulled the car over and looked. Looked like night to me, which is pretty beautiful in itself, but I get plenty of night in my eyes driving down 52 with the windows down and moonroof open. I think something has died in my air conditioning.
