Okay sooo as you can tell I've been very busy( since May was the last post.....)
The Internship is AMAZING!!!!! I've helped restore a wetlands area, fed penguins, taught a class for toddlers, prepared diets for birds of prey, and soon I'll be helping with the Aviary's summer camp!
Not everything goes right all the time, though....and I don't know what it is with me and weirdos at work, but Monday a homeless guy found his way into the Aviary, and then went into the women's bathroom...so I ran down the hall to get to a walkie talkie and get one of the guys to handle it....he was smelly and seemed "heavily medicated." After he was escorted out he walked toward the park to a tree and stared at the Aviary for like 5 minutes.....yea creepy!
Other than that, everythings been pretty peachy.
Since I'm working my other job when I'm not at the Aviary, I've been busy and exhausted....so I've also been a little more testy....that coupled with not particularly liking one of the managers at Petsmart ended with me talking to the store manager today.....eh....at least I got to sit and just talk for like 45 minutes.....I dunno, I guess I'm too "outspoken" for the managers.
BTW...I've refound my love for Donnie Darko....

You fucking got to feed penguins???!!!??? I'm jealous. They're such interesting creatures..... They seem like they'd be polite taking the food from you....like they'd say, "Thank you kindly".... I guess it's that butler/tuxedo stereotype that birdbrains like myself would think of......
