As promissed i would write a small blog everyday until X-mas/New Year, so lets get started with the first one!!
First of all i love love LOVE X-mas, it's my favorite holiday of the year. A lot of people outside (sometime's inside) The Netherlands already started decorating there houses with all there happy X-mas decorations, some bought, some home made. Colorful lights, or just neutrals, candy canes and so on. But today on December 5th we celebrate an hole other holiday in The Netherlands, it's called Sinterklaas, maybe some of you have heard of it, because there has been a big fuss about it. Anyway it's a childrens holiday where we celebrate Sinterklaas or Sint Nicolaas, and he gives gifts to the children. Fun fact this man actually did exist around 280 AD - 352 AD, he was a Turkisch Bishop.
So normaly i would wait with the X-mas deco after today, but man o man... after hearing some X-mas songs on the radio last week i couldn't help myself and i already started decorating the house a little bit! And this weekend i will get myself an X-mas tree! The smell they breath through your house.. hmm.. Can't wait!!
