Found this post on another blog . It is one of the most informative posts I have read so far . I hope the Girls of SG help get the info out there . I am new to Sg since end of October . This post has given me new direction on how to interact on the site.

another thing, please stop messaging me privately saying "you will go pink in no time" or, "you deserve to go pink" i am already pink. i have been pink for 2 years. i appreciate your encouragement. id LOVE more than anything to be set of the day. i don't see that happening soon however, which is fine. ill keep submitting. maybe ill eventually strike gold. i have shot the last few sets with help, but i have done everything pretty much myself. so the feedback is SUPER important. i want to be here. i want to be a reason YOU want to be here.
if you want to message me privately that's fine, but please don't message me privately about my set and not comment, again, this doesn't benefit me at all. this goes for all the girls on here. we need you guys to leave these nice things ON THE SET, not in our in-box. as sweet as it is, its best to go there, its why member review is there.
not to sound mean, but this is just how it is.
if your not going to leave feedback or any constructive criticism on my photos, thus the purpose of member review, then there is no real reason to send me a friend request. i am not trying to be a bitch, but i don't want to be a "friend collector" either.
also, i am not a huge fan of adding friend requests except under special circumstances of people who don't bother to fill out their profile or upload photos. i'm sorry, i have stalkers and for all i know one of you is one of these many people who have made me feel threatened or uncomfortable. it has already happened in many circumstances. no photos, no info, no add. i'm sorry. i have to protect my own interests. i try and be real here, i cant do that in any other venue because i don't feel safe doing so. this is my safe place and i like to keep it that way. i look at each persons profile before i click accept. its just how it is.
i cherish the people on here i have grown fond of and who actively support me and others on this site, and whom make a real effort to make this a real community place to feel welcome and supported. if your going to pay to be here, you really should use the site to its full purpose and potential. we love to hear from you. we need to hear how you feel and what you want to see etc. its important. otherwise why are you here?

I understand and agree with all the points being made, but from the other side of the equation, I check the hopefuls pretty much everyday, but seldom those who have made it, because THEY'VE MADE IT, so they don't really need my support! I have a few hard and fast rules about comments. First, I will never make a negative comment, because I figure any girl that takes a shot at being SG deserves a certain amount of respect for putting herself out there. Second, no matter how cute or awesome, I will not give a positive comment on any hopeful set that does not provide profile information. To me, the unwillingness to provide profile information represents a lack of true commitment. With regard to those that receive a positive comment, there has to be something "special" in the set that makes them different than the vast majority of other girls who submit. While I understand that beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder and everyone has their own personal ideas about what should qualify a hopeful to move on to SG status, the sad truth is that many of those who submit look like just about every other girls that has submitted. If you look back a few years, you'll see girls that have made it to SG with just a few hundred positive comments. No doubt, this is because the site and membership was much smaller at that time, but today it takes a pretty significant number of comment to move up, so those that truly aspire to go pink need to be aware that it's going to take a lot more than looking like every other girl in every other set to make it. This is where creativity and imagination comes in, and isn't that a big part of what we should be looking for in a hopeful? As for "friending," I don't do it, because I find it kind of silly, sad, and pathetic to have hundreds of people on your Friends List that you don't really know. If I had any advise for Hopefuls, it would be to return feedback. I'm always impressed when a hopeful I've given a positive comment to takes a moment to write back thanking me for the support. It's not a super big deal to me, but it's a nice thing when appreciation is shown and it virtually assures my continued support on future sets!

" . This is 100 % true. The girls are putting themselves out there to be seen worldwide . That takes courage . I admire that . I do find though that I now use the SG site to interact with others besides the SG's that are in my area . I like diversity and there is plenty of that here . Life is like soup . The more varied the ingredients , the better it's flavor .
