So, I went to the gym. I'm really not into people watching, but there's seldom anything good on any of the dozen television sets that float in the air all over the place. There's an elderly guy who stares at me, which is... I don't know, weird. On the way to the drinking fountain, I fart in his proximity to discourage him. Totally against the rules (fuck it).

It's funny to catch women staring at me. Especially elderly women. Sometimes I get the odd, somewhat bored, teenage girl parked on an exercise ball in the corner, eyeing me intently. And let me tell you something, it's a bewildering experience. There's some fourth wall shit afoot around here.

Today, I watched a little girl argue with her dad, whom I presume was deaf. As they faced each other, they both "signed" while simultaneously speaking softly. I huffed away on the pec dec, and they carried on directly in front of me as if I weren't there. It was fascinating. It was like standing in a meadow watching deer quarrel. In the end, the girl hugged her dad and the matter was resolved in a loving way. It does the heart good to see things like that. It makes for a better workout.
