Welp, Monday I fly to Fort Lauderdale for an extended sabbatical. An entire month of Saturdays. Now, I bet you're wondering "what's that like?" To tell the truth, it kicks ass. I'm a man of means by no means, I live a life as close to that of a playboy as one can get while drawing a poverty level income. But, after a 25 year bad luck streak, I've only recently begun to enjoy living. And for the first time in my adult life, I'm not staring down the end of a year while in the grip of a deep depression.
Sure, yeah, it hurts me to be alone. But I chose the life of a bluesman. If I make it look easy, it's only because I'm experienced. I've been tested by God, and I've been tested by the streets. I was destroyed, and then resurrected. Only to be bonded in servitude and used nearly to death. I spent a year in a hospital bed, dreaming of life. And the Cosmos took pity on me, and delivered me into the hands of sorcerers with stethoscopes.
Yes, I have looked over Jordan and I have seen- things are not what they seem.
