Halloween and crap!
Thank you all for the birthday wishes!
I know your all sick of hearing me bitch and complain about my neuroticness about turning 30. But here's the finally one.
It didn't officially give me the willies until I told someone I'll be 31 next year. for some reason those words seem to be the spookiest I've heard all month long!
Happy Halloween everyone! Its sad to see the month long holiday finally come to an end. Let me do my annual Halloween tally:
- went on one haunted hayride and one haunted train ride
- walked through 4 haunted houses and one haunted trail
- watched about half the movies AMC showed for their Halloween fest
- dressed up as a zombie
- saw many people in costume at a bar
- bought novelty Jones soda for the holiday
- ate two caramel apples (i shared them with my husband because I'm nice like that)
- watched every corny Halloween themed show on the Travel channel and Food Network
- wrote and recieved Halloween cards
Overall...not a bad month. I always feel like I'm missing out on a million things. We try to cram as much as humanly possible into 31 days and it never seems to be enough time. Maybe next year we'll do the odds and ends we forgot to do this year, like pumpkin carving and more costume time.
Oh...follow up to being old....I got these cute little skull barettes for my birthday, and when I wear them I look so much younger. And, can I just tell you, how awesome that is! Yay!
And...speaking of hair....I broke down and bought a flat iron (is that what its called?) My hair has gone from dead stright to wavy and almost curly in spots over the past 30 years. I'm not really sure what happened, but i now have to iron the heck out of it to keep it straight....and THAT doesn't even keep for over 8 hours. Its so odd. Hair is weird and annoying most of the time. I hate that the older I get the more time I have to spend fussing with it to make it look nice. Blah.
oh...and i'm trying to grow it long enough so I can have pigtails. This has never happened, I always seem to chop it once it passes my chin. So please place your wagers now......see if I can actually do it this time!
I thought a nice fluffy post was a change of pace from the doom and gloom I've writing lately.
Nothing else to report. I need to go actually work.
