More in the never ending saga...
So. I didn't get the Benefit gig. They went with someone else who was more aggresive at sitting someone down. Something which, I will admit, I'm not the best at. I'm rusty at the whole cosmetics biz, and being foreceful with complete strangers is a bit overwhelming.
BUT....the brighter side...Macy's still likes me and I now have an interview with Bobbi Brown on Wed. THe company I initially sent in my resume for. I'm super excited. Its not a counter manger gig, but its full time and its a nationally known company that already has a following in the city. It will be more about keeping clients happy then forming new ones. And honestly....if someone is already interested and I like a product, I can sell them anything and everything! At this stage in my life I'm more into this company. Its all about looking natural and amazing and thats what I do. I like to keep my look more natural, more sleek, simple.
So..I'm siked. Kind of frustrated that I have to start the whole thing again, but hey, if it will lead me to another better paying job, I'll do it.
My weekend is going groovy thus far. Went to see Stranger's With Candy. AWESOME! As expected... Went to a punk rock flea market in the city. Went to visit friends at their store and got a kick ass T-shirt and vinyl cuff. And had good food and drinks at Sugar Mom's, a local bar. Nice day with my hubbie, and ending with an especially nice note of an interview with an awesome makeup company!
Hopefully tommorrow will be just as great!

I have heard good things about bobbi browns brushes and foundation..but it doesn't match me well so I have never tried it. You so deserve a fun make up job.
