Thanks for the tips on Yoko Kanno and others. I will check them out except for Douglas Adams, who I started reading as a youngster (but I haven't seen the Hitchhiker's Guide movie yet for fear it'll be horrible and ruin it. Am I right or wrong?)

Also, what your friends did was reprehensible. I lament almost every day that there are so many mean people in the world, who I think truly enjoy being cruel. You don't deserve it. Screw them.
