Oh FINE, I'll do a real update.
A factoid you might, or might not know about me.
I am a Swing dancer, specifically lindy hop and west coast swing, although i dabble in all sorts of other dances like balroom, latin, carolina shag, DC hand dancing, NY street hustle... the list goes on and on.
I've been competing and teaching for about 6-7 years now. The dance community is not unlike the SG community (without the surplus of hot naked girls). We have online message boards, we hang out with each other, we're in most every major city, and there are subsequent reigonal groups.
We travel a LOT. At one point, I was making about 20 trans-continental flights a year, when I was really pushing my coreography and routine work, on top of the many trips to local and semi-local events. It helped I was in a major hub for dance activity in the US.
One of the message boards that has been the centerpin for the Lindy Hop community has a fundraiser every year, for the past 7 years, in New York City. So, this weekend I'm packing up my bags, and heading up to the bright lights for a fun filled party weekend fundraiser. There will be drinking, LOTS of dancing and hopefully quite a few incriminating photos (this time I wont have Miesha on my arm to make my drunk ass look so good, but i'll manage).

In other news, work has been INSANELY busy the last couple weeks. I've barely had time to think. Luckily i'll have this weekend as a respite from the hellish 60+ hour week that is next week.
