Back from DC.

Interesting trip, interesting interview. I've never been in a 5-6 hour interview before, wasnt really prepared for what they threw at me. Ah well. C'est la vie. I think i did very well. One guy out of the 15 or so people that interviewed didnt like me. Said i was too cocky. Everyone else seemed to realize I just know my shit so well, I'm extremely confident. Hence, why they've been trying to hire me for 3 years now, and the #2 in the company personally set up the interview and flew me out. I've never been one to brag, or tout my skills, but goddamnit I'm good at something and I want to say it, for once. I'm the type of person who has always shrugged or said "I dont know" whenever someone asks me if i'm good at something. I'm just not the kind of person who believes in self promotion.It is amazing though. I have this talent, and i never realized it was a talent until i started applying it. Game theory, who would have known? surreal

Contemplating this move is really giving me mixed emotions. I want to change my surroundings, change my life, get this job and get moving with everything i've been putting off for a while now. But, it is so far away. A 3000 mile move is incredibly daunting. My family is pretending to be supportive, but i can tell they're scared, or upset. Moving 250 miles away was hard for them, this will be even harder.

I guess we'll find out next week how things went, and how my life is drastically changing.
