I'm not saying that every suicide is the same. I understand, maybe even sympathize with, those that do it to prevent more badness. It's just certain cases, like my uncle's, where it is strictly a selfish act. Yes, he was a fuckup but the ramifications of what he did went way beyond anything that could have happened if he had stayed alive. He had no life insurance, for one thing. By killing himself he sentenced his family to a poverty level existence that they still haven't been able to get out of.
