Got my SG Hoodie. Yeah! Thanks, SGHQ. I'll smile for weeks.

Where have I been? School Hell.
Trying hard to get into the groove of absorbing large ammounts of information. I think I still have a case of the summer-brains.

I stand out like an ailing opposable digit on campus, and it doesn't bother me like it used to. When I was 21 or 22...

I have heard the voice of my savior and it speaks to me in songs for the deaf.

God is in my radio.

No the Hovercraft is powered by your standard micro fusions generators that send plasma to small warp coils, and yes the Eels are there purely for distraction. I get lonely sometimes.

Tool played in Hamilton, Onatio and I was there.

Tomahawk went on at 4pm I think. It might as well have been, you think you can get to a show at 8:30 and catch the opening act. Too bad, I really like that Tomahawk record.

Tool made my balls feel like tits. Not the best show I've been to, but it was still Tool, so...

I don't really live in Suburbia, per se. London is a good 200km from Toronto. But I'll bet that if the Mall Builders and the Single Family Dwelling Dwellers have anything to say about it, in a century or so it'll be one massive urban nightmare.

Toronto is finally figuring itself out, but it may be too late to stop the hemmoraging from the outside. They just finished a new subway line to try and stop the single occupant cars from trucking in and out of the city in the North-East. And there's a high-speed street level train that will run along the lakeshore into the West that'll be done soon. But they have to address that once you leave the proper city of Toronto it's nothing but Highways and Strip malls. + those people aren't going to give up their cars.

Toronto has street cars, and they're my favorite mode of transportaion.
psmith:
I guess i figured that Toronto had done a better job keeping sprawl in check, but the city does look pretty good when in the stats (%trips on transit, density, % econ activity in downtown), but i guess those figures don't include the rest of the metro region. I was quite impressed when i saw the mass transit map of toronto, quite a lot for north american city, and eleven street car lines. yup I'm a transit nut. I moved to my part of Portland just to be near a streetcar line.

Did they ever build the subway line to the airport? I'd read that they stopped construction and filled the tunnel with cement.

Another sunny Tuesday. I know the summer is slipping away when I'm making Labour Day plans.

But, unlike the previous five labour days, I wont be swamped with depression. Labour day used to be one of the hardest times for me. I'd watch all my friends and family go back to school while I continued to toil in retail hell. Not this year, I'm going...

Words fail me tonight. As usual.

I often have a lot to say, but rarely is there a point.

See?

Man walks into a used record shop. The only other customer is an older man chatting up the owner about obscure jazz vinyl.

Upon approacing the desk counter with his choices, the older man looks at the top record and says, "Hey, Sam and Dave, eh?"

After a thought, man raises his head slightly and deadpans, "I woke up this morning and realized I didn't...

i actually tried to lay some basic BASIC on everyone, but i think i'm more than rusty. it cause a bit of an argument about the commentry in the code.

i gif'd the pic to make it blink, but it's doing something weird around the border.

Cruising through the Inbox reading neglected and ignored emails.

Crusing the boards reading the fun and the informative threads. Good stuff tonight.

Is it me, and it might just be me cuz I've only been here a month, or does it seem like there's a lot more activity on the boards in the last week...

it's funny, i'll be at working and wanting to poke around the boards at lunch or something, and then i'll stop.

'wait, this kind of material is frowned upon. this is a nudie site.'

i don't even think of it that way. but i'd suppose the higher-ups would.

i don't read in any order. which makes coherence very hard.
considerately:
yes. very annoying, disconcerting.

The show wasn't bad. I was in kind of a weird mood, and I couldn't find my 64 page CD book, so I had to pull a lot of library stuff. Luckily Sean was in a good place and had alot of music ready to go.

Went back into the vaults and played some Sex Pistols, some Jesus Lizard (by request!) and some Modernettes. Old...
