went to the comic shop, too. i've decided I want to read a few comics regularly. but now, in my old age, i'm not as obsessed with 'collecting' them, so i'll just by the trades.
Picked up the first collection of Frank Miller's Sin City, the latest Alias TPB (someone called it Post-Superhero in the comics group, and it's the perfect name for it.)
Batgirl. Why? because I heard it was cool. and it is. this is not yo'momma's batgirl. i'll have to read a few more to know for sure, but it's neat.
and a couple from the new Trasnformers series.
the Onion had a funny piece on a 29 year old man making up for everything that he felt was missing from his youth.
it scared the shit out of me. it made me laugh, too. but the predominant emotion was fear.
you can try and justify it, say the new Transformers books are written with the adult in mind, but really, who's shitting who here?

transformers are just cool... soundwave was my favourite, and starscream.
I love the Onion. This article struck me as extra funny because I have an ex-bf who works in a record store and loves Yo La Tengo.
