Rather than Daemon Tools I would suggest Alcohol 120%. You can mount virtual drives much more easily with that and it makes very clean images too. From what I can tell about the error you are getting is that you have some bad disks. The software you are using to read them will compensate through error correction but trying to copy will go fubar on you.
