Got my SG Hoodie. Yeah! Thanks, SGHQ. I'll smile for weeks.
Where have I been? School Hell.
Trying hard to get into the groove of absorbing large ammounts of information. I think I still have a case of the summer-brains.
I stand out like an ailing opposable digit on campus, and it doesn't bother me like it used to. When I was 21 or 22 I used to think that if I didn't look act and look like these campus people, I wouldn't be able to get anything out of school.
I know now that it was leftover high school bullshit and not really anything to worry about. Hell, I think people start conversations with me on purpose sometimes because I don't really fit into what's going on.
Being a brown-nosed sonofabitch doesn't hurt either.
Anyway, I haven't been to the boards much lately, I've been trying to get a school on. Too bad there isn't a UWO SG chapter. Maybe I'll hold the light for the SG Toronto Road Trip all-girl sets or something.
.. or maybe not. But it makes for a nice mind-diversion when I'm trying to make heads or tails of Harold Innis and Marshall McLuhan.
Queens of the Stone Age rocked my socks and underwear.
... Trail of Dead make better records than concerts. Busting shit for it's own sake notwithstanding. Has anyone ever noticed that bored concert patrons who're at the back of the club drinking will rush the stage for ... Trail of Dead once they've finished their set? Guess people are more interested into blatant instrument waste than actual music.
The new Sleater-Kinney record is the first music I've heard about September 11th that hasn't made me want to barf. It also rocks. Combat Rock is one of my new favorite songs.
