the matt + sean show returned with flame and fury yesterday, and i think it was really good. i haven't listened to the tape yet, but i'm pretty sure it was awe-fucking-some.
afterwards sean and i lifted a bunch of 50s and went to see an excellent rock show at Call The Office. The Spitfires were a rock'n'roll party on wheels. Think New Bomb Turks and The Dragons rolled into a drunker, more Canadian version.
The Nasty On kicked my ass, too. Way better than the last time I saw 'em. Those guys are too young to have so much Rock'n'Roll in 'em. I recommend them to anybody who cares. Amazing party shit.
The Flares were on the bill, but we only saw their last song. At least it was a good one: 18 + Life, by 80s metal icons Skid Row. You know what? It's a way better song when performed by women than when it's performed by men who look like women.
It's off to the park for me, we're celebrating killedbydeath's birthday. Teenage Head is playing! There'll be more beer, methinks.

One time when I was 16 I got arrested with a friend of mine and we sang 18 and Life in the holding cell to annoy the cops until our parents came to get us. Great fun.
