Inspiring me at the moment:
Sin City, "That Yellow Bastard." Peter Sarsgaard in Garden State and Kinsey. Diane Arbus. Bruce Springsteen, "Born to Run." David Bowie, "Diamond Dogs." and this jumpy feeling in my stomach that makes me want to get up and go running, but at the same time sit down and WRITE.
stressing is no good. make me stop.

Sin City looks VERY cool.
Makes me happy: Nick Cave, new Street Dogs and Disasters CDs to review, Jon Stewart, Sin City, having a flesh-and-blood crush to phone-flirt with. snake shoes. Bruce Springsteen records.
Makes me sad: Friends being shitty to me over a guy. Not getting to see the boy that I've been playing phone tag with all week.
Guess I'm still doing OK.
I'm already falling behind on...

If I were you I would check out my local tattoo artists. Go into many shops and check out portfolios. See whos work you like best and them have that artist work with your drawings.. good luck
So I think 2005 is going to be a good year for me. After all, I turn 25 on April 25th in 2005, so as my friend Juliet said, it's my golden year. So I guess that means I will write the great american novel, option it for film for Sofia Coppola to direct, and marry Alex Tanguay.
Seriously though. Aside from generic work annoyances...

"so why the hell spend time trying to get a job that's sort of better slightly than what I'm doing and be broke doing it, when it's not what I want anyway."
dude, i think THAT is totally the key. that is where all of my wasted time, heart, energy and enthusiasm is going: failed attempts at achieving something that i don't even want.
why is it so hard to shut out the voices of "reason" from all around who tell us to be successful, when really, the key to our success is probably to throw ourselves, with all of our big, passionate, artist hearts madly into whatever it is we wake up every day thinking about.
why should a comic book artist keep trying to make it as a graphic designer?
(thanks for helping to jar all that junk loose).

To please myself and only myself. It is my life, and I have not yet met the person that gets to make me compromise it.
THAT is a great one. I think that has been some of the problem with my past relationships. I compromised who was was.
Well at least this time, he KNOWS who I am and yet he likes me anyway... how strange
Hope 2005 brings you all that you are looking for ![]()

i can only think of one favorite movie kiss:
bill pullman and kim dickens in ZERO EFFECT. it is pullman's characters first kiss. it is so tentative and shy and exploratory.
it does not hurt that i have the hugest crush in the world on kim dicken's character in that movie.
i love that movie.
ok, i'm off to write about kissing in MY journal now...
happy new year

It's pretty sad that I don't have many memorable kisses. The ones I remember the most are from this summer, and last summer.
Well there are two kisses besides the summer ones though these can't even really compare... they were right before I started dating the person who would become my fiancee. First was with a guy that was so bad for me but was so sexually compatable it was insane. After we tried dating (and failed miserably) we were great fuck-buddies. This was the goodbye last kiss. Damn. If our relationship couls have been half as good as that kiss... The next was with my summer fling that year (dude what is it with me and the summer?) We were at a club for his birthday and out of nowhere in the middle of a sentence he just grabbed me and pulled me in for a kiss. I think after about 30 sec he was completely supporting me. It was a full out weak in the knees, loss of breath kiss.
I've only had one kiss that good since. But the guy it was with makes me happier than I could ever have imagined.
Just 41 more days...
Happy New Year!

I'm sure that everybody that wrote an original story got shot down by a bunch of people before it finally caught on . Maybe if you're serious about writing as a profession you can compromise a bit and write some commercially viable crap until you hit it big . You're not selling your soul as long as you keep your desire to tell GOOD stories intact . It may take a little time , and you gotta' eat .
The new Nick Cave double album is AWSOME . I liked Abbatoir Blues a lot more than Lyre Of Orpheus , but there was some good stuff on it as well . Hope you dig it .
