1. Happy Joan Jett's birthday! I think it should be a national holiday. A day to think "What Would Joan Jett Do?" and honor that.

2. So in honor of that, I'm sitting here with black hair dye soaking into my skull. Mmm. Spooky.

3. I just spent half an hour rooting through my things for my X Los Angeles CD. That's one I literally could not live without and would have to re-purchase like, ASAP. I have done that twice this year already. boundcreature was the lucky recipient of my Diamond Dogs album after I bought the 30th anniversary one, and I've still got the second Against Me, As The Eternal Cowboy. (Which isn't even as good as Reinventing Axl Rose, which all of you should buy, like, now.)

4. I typed "like" too much in that previous messy paragraph. I guess talking to someone I've known from 6th grade will bring out the teenybopper in me...

5. speaking of which, J. called me again today. At least my appeal transcends state lines.

6. I hope everyone is safely out of the path of Rita. I'm pretty far away, but if anyone needs crash space...

7. This time next week I will be in Philly, then headed for New Hampshire, Montreal, and Boston.

8. I am writing a lot lately. Inspiration. Or aggravation. Or just being friggin' bored out of my mind at work yet too burned out to really work...

9. The press contact from Fat Wreck needs to get back to me like, now or this interview is not going to happen. I've already accepted that I do not have time to get tattooed before leaving town...

10. I need to stop procrastinating and get to work. First, shower and wash out the hair dye....
