Speaking of that, just saw The Island. Scarlett Johanssen and Ewan MacGregor, oh my. I might get shot for saying this, but it was at least as good as Minority Report--and just as much a product-placement vehicle. But there was a bit of Jon Spencer's side project Heavy Trash (pick up that CD like, ASAP, for real) in a scene in Steve Buscemi's character's apartment. But oh, for the good old days of Blade Runner. Linklater's A Scanner Darkly looks WAY rad, though. Check it out.

OK. I'm off to download Bruce Springsteen's "I'm On Fire," because I saw the last ten seconds of the video the other night and it's been in my head ever since...

edit: how much of a geek am I that I just got totally thrilled over turning up an acoustic live version of "Thunder Road" in my downloading process? But you know, he who does not love Bruce, my friends....
