I was in a really deep funk last night. Hating the job hunt and hanging out with girls young enough to still think that they've got all the answers, and my friends who manage to innocently make me feel like a super-slut when I don't even believe in sluts.
But I went to sleep, and it was better in the morning.
See, there are plenty of people to tell me that it'll be OK, and I don't doubt that I deserve better than what I've got (most of the world does, that isn't hard) but until things actually change it is very hard for me to feel that way.
So I've got to change things myself. Unfortunately, it's going to be quite a while before I'm out of debt and financially solvent enough to go into business myself, so I'm trying to convince my dad that he should invest in me. Right now, I think I could run a bar. It would be great.
He hasn't said, "you're fucking crazy," or even "no" yet, so that's better than nothing.
I suck at wrapping presents. Maybe next year I will boycott it and claim it's an anti-capitalist statement. But all of you will know. Unfortunately, I love giving gifts. If I had more money...
I hate that that is a recurring theme in my life.
My back hurts.
I'm doing some market research. SO: what is the best movie you saw this year? Best album you bought? Best book you read? (Preferably ones that came out in 2004.)
What color should I dye my hair? Right now it's gingerbread-brown.
edit: everyone should go here now and watch the trailer for SIN CITY. Even if you don't know who Frank Miller is and don't know who Robert Rodriguez is, you can still appreciate how beautiful that trailer is.
If you don't, I don't know if we can be friends.
