My sister, while describing me to her boyfriend, said, "My sister is a force to be reckoned with."

My former best friend, who I never see anymore, asked me if I had any hobbies these days. I replied, "writing, plotting the downfall of the government, my bike..."

I am trying to be true to both of those. It's fairly easy, at least the hobby bit. I've got three fashion/culture magazines lying around that I have yet to read because I'm busy reading the blogs and writing my own. (here) The force to be reckoned with bit needs a bit more work. Though my boss out in Denver drove me crazy and never paid me what she should've, she's a good model for what I'm aiming for. She was practically impossible to say no to, and she was the kind of person that dominates a room when she walks into it.

Maybe that's why I like wearing such big shoes.

I need to get back to riding my bike, spending quality time witih my skateboard (did a bit of that today. was fun.), doing my push-ups and sit-ups, and eating properly. I feel so much better when I am in good shape. They don't call it "fighting trim" for nothing. I really want to get back to krav maga. When Jay and I were play-fighting the other night I realized how reflexive a lot of those moves got to be, and I love it.

One of the guys who works for my dad stopped by the shop today while I was working and decided that while Fred went to lunch he would "stick around until Fred got back." Like I need your PROTECTION or something? Pissed me off. Especially since this guy just got back from being out for several weeks with a hernia, and can barely walk properly. I would put a thousand dollars (that I don't have) on my ability to kick someone's ass far better than he can.

One more place to spend your money that is way better for the world than Wal-Mart or McDonald's. Donate to Ohio Recount fund!!! Yes, that's right, the good people in the Green and Libertarian parties, who actually care that your votes get counted even though they know that there's no way in hell they won, are raising money to actually COUNT every vote in Ohio and find out how many people were disenfranchised this election. We don't expect to change any results, but we can make damn sure that it makes more news and that we piss off the anchors on Fox News who condemned people for daring to ask if their rights were infringed upon. Note that if you're pissed off at Nader, he did not run with the Green Party this year, so you're not giving him your money. Do the right thing.
