Blahblahblah.
Saturday night in PA by myself. As usual, things do not go according to plan.
I will be heading back South tomorrow. I promise, it's only temporary. My apologies if I didn't get to see you and I should have. Hopefully I'll be back soon, for good. I cannot live in a red state one moment longer than necessary.
Looking back on this most recent road trip, though parts have been depressing, I think it's been good stuff. Atlanta and Lucero were utterly rad--if you haven't listened to that band yet, you really are missing out. I swear. So good. Such a good interview. And such good drinking buddies.
Seeing an old friend in NC was great, even if I was sick as a dog.
My sister cut my hair, saving me $40 and making it tres cute.
I've seen 3 very good movies: the Machinist (creepy), the Motorcycle Diaries (ooooh, Gael), and Tarnation (absolutely fucking mindblowing. see this movie. like now.).
I've eaten good breakfast food and lots of Dunkin' Donuts.
Despite losing the country, we won the state and volunteering was great fun. High points: my election-day crush boy, an adorable blue-eyed drummer from Bard College in NY (if he happens to be reading this, hi. you were way cute. I should have said that.), the rockin' older ladies who screamed on street corners like children with me, the rockin' 12-year-old boy who took up a sign and screamed like one of the adults, and all the different people from different backgrounds who smiled, honked, cheered, or otherwise supported us in our efforts. We won the battle, if we did lose the war.
Need I mention again Twwly?
Job interviews--now let's hope they hire me.
I am definitely bummed about not making it to NY, missing Agnostic Front (if anyone goes, hug Roger for me), and not seeing more of you wonderful people. But there's always next time.
