Made my U-haul reservation.
Put my CD's into binders and packed the cases.
Bought Faith No More and U2 with money I don't have, but I deserve it. Now I'm gonna eat sushi with the $10 gift certificate they sent me for my birthday, drop off some thankyous at a couple of restaurants, and go see Ewan MacGregor's weenie (again) in Young Adam.
Thank goodness for Scottish men who enjoy making movies with lots of nudity/sex, raw fish, chai tea, and hockey players who talk lots of smack.
I could do without the 80-degree days, though. It snowed last week. Can I live somewhere with a little less manic weather patterns?
Guess that's why I'm moving back south. That, and to be closer to Vincent Lecavalier.
Kidding.
Maybe.
edit: So last night I wandered into my former place of employment, the sushi restaurant, to have some raw fish. It turned out to be my favorite sushi chef's last night of work before he moves to Chicago next week. So of course, I had to hang out and join the party, considering I'm leaving soon too. I got to spend loads of time talking with the utterly and completely raddest guy I know in D-town, TJ, who just GETS everything. He's had the best response to my tattoo, to talk about politics, women, etc.--he is what many more guys should be like. We ended up all going back to his house for PBR, snacks, and philosophical discussions until 5 AM. So I'm a tired Aoife, but happy. Of course, these kind of social gatherings, that I really miss, only happen when I'm about to leave. Not to mention, TJ finally broke up with his girlfriend. Lame.
Anyway, he rocks and Chris the sushi chef rocks and Matt the filmmaker rocks and two out of the three guys agreed that my tits are better than baseball without even having seen them unclothed. (My tits, not baseball players. Good god, could you imagine seeing that huge Yankees pitcher guy naked? What's his name again?)
yeah.
Oh, and go see Super Size Me like, ASAP. Radness. Documentary filmmaking is becoming hip, and I LOVE IT. Who wants to fund my documentary on strippers?

It's been going on for the last month! One of my buddies here was there three weeks ago, a couple I know here is getting married on an island there, and my mom & stepdad from Frisco, CO just got back from a trip there. They're scoping it out as a potential retirement destination, perhaps in the next year or so. Beaufort, SC, to be exact.
