Enough negative. Even though I think the Oscar nominations are shit and I'm terrified of Alito and I can't believe that GWB NOW wants to talk about energy problems? (Because he can't talk about anything else without admitting his gross incompetence?)

I mean, I admire the politics behind the Oscar nods, but there were political movies this year much better than Munich (Syriana and The Constant Gardener come to mind), and with Capote they're doing what they did with Ray--confusing a great performance in a decent movie with a great movie. But hell, I'm just happy that there's a really good chance that the Best Picture this year will star a gay character who DOESN'T die of AIDS. So that's aces.

And as far as Alito goes, well, when they get the chance to overturn Roe v. Wade, maybe those last few people who've been sitting on their asses assuming their rights are not REALLY in danger will wake the fuck up.

And I still get to go home each night and curl up with a big, gorgeous, tattooed, muscled hunk of fighter-man who makes me purrrrrrr....

so it ain't all bad. Still gotta get out of the South, though.
