I am a tired, tired girl. My kickboxing instructor decided she wanted to seriously abuse us last night, (double up those kicks!) and I am sore, and then on top of that, we were seriously busy at work. Lots of Canadians, which makes me smile--is everyone in Canada always so friggin' nice? Maybe it's the health care system, and not having to worry so much about George Bush. And the hockey.
I think I'm going to go in for younger guys from now on. J. is younger than I am--only by months, but still. He's got lots of grownup concerns, though. Maybe I need to head for Savannah and play with the SCAD students.
Eh. Art students.
Plans for the biz are proceeding apace. Sister is scouting locations and I'm talking to business brokers. Scary shit. I feel like such an adult all of a sudden.
I have recently realized that AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" is also one of the best rock songs ever. Why are all my favorite songs about girls?
I am going to go eat leftover pad thai and watch Six Feet Under now.

I just did my biweekly prowl down through the amazing
bookstores of this town. The spirit is up because of what
the Democrats did. I'm down because one single chain now owns almost the whole of the alternative weekly communities. And they are the ones who came in to drive out the hippies with a m ore moderate, commerce friendly ambition. As a friend in Paris comments, its our fundamentalism's versus Muslim fundamentalism now, and everyone is going to go down inbetween. This is War.
God do I wish that weren't true. Of course you have to find somebody to go live and love with, a number of people if you can. And then together try to humanize the world as much as possible with the power of love and art.
This big agenda will define the rest of my lifetime, and probably most of yours. DragoD
