::dies:: Guess what happened today? Well it won't mean anything to you unless I give you a little background info first... Okay... so there's this song in Empire Records called "A Girl Like You" by Edwyn Collins. I saw this movie when it first came out, when I was in elementary school, and I was completely obsessed. So I watched it all the time and a few years ago I bought the soundtrack. This song is awesome, I listened to it compulsively, and my dad was like "Wow you're cool, you like David Bowie," and I'm like "No, it's not David Bowie, it's Edwyn Collins," and he's like "I knew that, I liked this song first," so I stopped listening to it before he could steal it from me... So a year or so goes by and I haven't listened to this song, and then I rented Charlie's Angels 2 (because I wanted to watch the scene where they're dressed up all sexy and dancing in the club ) but I paid for the movie so I watched the whole thing (hoping there would be more cute outfits and Cameron Diaz-booty shaking) and all of a sudden, I hear my song! And I freak out and I'm thinking "WHAT IS THIS SONG?!" as I'm singing. And then I remember, and go get the cd and listen to it all week. So today, I'm driving and playing with the radio and what's playing when I turn to HFS?! Fucking Edwyn Collins! Not only is this weird because I've never heard the song on the radio before, but because I fucking listened to this song NON-STOP all fucking week!
