today i was riding the bus home, as i forfeited my parking pass to someone more needy momentarily. a girl got on the bus with her boyfriend. he was decently kempt, and she had dreads and was dressed ratty. he seemed good tempered.
after her fumbling around for 10 minutes trying to find her transfer, she finally sat down next to him and proceeded to pick a fight with the biggest guy she could find, yelling far louder than was necessary to get her point across.
he sat there, grinning like a fool. our eyes crossed paths. suddenly i realized i was him at one point not too long ago.
then i started grinning like a fool, too.
