Over the weekend a noose was found hanging from a tree outside of the building that houses most of my campus' Black student and faculty organizations, as well as other minority and multicultural groups. This is not the first time (recently) something like this has happened at University of Maryland. Following the VTech shootings, there were reports of anti-Asian American comments and threats. So, my campus is awash in hate crimes. Sweet.
