Why donate blood to someone you don't even know? Well, from my personal experience at the hospital I see the actual blood units being distritbuted, I see the sick people that it is saving. From babies as old as 2 hours to people as old as 92 I have seen live, just because someone donated half an hour of their time and a bag of their blood. One donation of whole blood can save up to three lives. Imagine it as being a super hero.
Think it will hurt? No, they use 8 gauge needles (not bad considering hospitals use 4-6 for i.v. sites) and the people collecting your donation are professionals. They have been trained on how to make it as smooth as possible for you!
Just consider doing a good deed, it could save someone special.

Strangely, I spent two summers in my teens, volunteering at blood donor clinics.
I do keep trying to talk myself into it, so I haven't written off the idea completely.
