The state final of the World Battle Of The Bands was on Wednesday night. All four of the bands were fucking brilliant, but in the end only two could go through to the national final: if you see a poster for NRNR or Bagster around, check 'em out, 'cause they're so hot right now.
Had an interview with New Zealand band Deja Voodoo yesterday. Lovely blokes. Then grabbed a beer with Linz. Lovely girl. Then had a mix-up with a preview screening and a gig and got confused and went home because it was too humid and disgusting that I refused to be involved in the day any longer.
Tonight I'll be seeing The Casanovas down south at Caringbah. Gigs down south are always fun. The punters are mad. The kids go buckwild. Good stuff. And the Casanovas are always very rock. They're the new AC/DC, dontchaknow?
I've got a 21st coming up, and I have to dress in '20s cocktail style.' How annoying. Dress-up parties shit me because they require suit-hiring and so on. Unless it's an 80s party. I love that shit. Any excuse to wear a fluro headband really.
