Sometimes people ask me, in strict confidence of course, Why are you so nervous?

So I will tell you, because its not very private. Everyone who meets me should know why Im nervous so they can decide if Im crazy or not.

Long ago, as long ago as someone as young as me can have a long ago, I was told something very specific. The only difference I could see between video footage and a cartoon was plot believability and color shading, and someone told me something very specific. They sat me down and told me this, very pointed, the TV off, sitting me down in a little wooden stool far from any other furniture or walls. They said every day for the rest of my life I will be chased by a black hole bigger and darker than anything else in the universe a black hole bigger than the universe itself would chase me until my dying day and people I knew and people I thought were great people would love this black hole more than me and people would try to feed me to this black hole forever and the black hole would have tentacles shaped like teddy bears and gaping mouths and maws shaped like cookies and this black hole would rend my soul into nothingness the second it touched me and leave me a walking corpse for the rest of my life and it would hunt be and give up only when my body inhaled for the last time.

And I tell people I thought I was sitting in the stool just then. Thats all. I only remembered the stool.
