Tsunami is making me very sad. On one hand he is the perfect cat: affectionate, silly, athletic, and full of curiosity and happiness. But he has a behavioral problem where he urniates everywhere to mark things.
I have had to throw out an expensive bed matress, two jackets, a comforter, and do about 20 loads of laundry. Counting losses and the $3 is costs to run things through our buildings washer and dryer, I have spent almost $500 in the last two months just cleaning up after him. This does not include the five times I have taken him to the vet, the pheromone spray I got that didn't work, the overnight stay to get a urine sample, etc. It's not a disease, he just thinks he has to pee everywhere. I am very depressed, worn out, and confused. I don't know what to do. He's peed on my bed three times in 24 hours and the vet simply suggested a third litter box.
If we have to take him back, I am going to be destroyed. That is three cats lost in less than a year.
Any brilliant suggestions? Do tell.
