Whores for faith, convinced of anything. Your devotion is strongest, because you literally "hold on for dear life". You are quite literally "frightened to death" of death. Obsessed with what you will do once you are dead you pay little attention to what you will do while you are alive.
You are almost worthless and would be shot dead if your pathetic human body didn't perform the mundane necessary tasks for society to function. In a world of future or past your life will/would have no value. Mundane repetition has always been the task of slaves. Getting wages does not make you free.
Today you are still a human slave, with the exception of being even more pathetic than the chained man whipped into labor. You slave, toil and work by choice! You ignore the facts that has always separated nobility from the commoner; education, devotion and courage! Most of which lay before your feet yet you stare perplexed and reason that such things would be too much work for you.
Instead you dream of earning the rewards, without the work, freely. Yet when earned freely these things destroy the owner. For they have not gained the wisdom through work to maintain such power. Without the work & effort devoted to earning such wealth, such wealth becomes worthless. Money, like power, if given without the wisdom gained through earning, will destroy & corrupt any man's mind and body.
As such be the case, the wise understand a gift can be more lethal than any poision.
