Money is the sickest of all addictions.
An inaccurate judgment of worth & value substituted to undermined reality. Great people will do great things because they are great people. They are people who expect more from money, but the money never lives up to the hype. Its just a child's story told over and over again, exaggerated more and more, becoming that much greater in the minds of addicts obsessed with dreams better than reality. Better than the way things really are. Even the actors with money dream, but they dream a far different dream.
We all dream happiness.
We are all searching for the same thing. We are all addicted to the thing. We only vary in values of definition of this thing. Only the definition is difference of character of persona.
"What is happiness?"
Then once we decide what happiness is, we spend our lives devoted to finding it to achieving it. To fulfill our self made definition of a well lived life. One that is happy. We consider the natural emotion of joy as correct (right) and the natural emotion of misery as incorrect (wrong).
It is a natural assumption yet still an assumption.
The pursuit of happiness drives almost every human being. Those who it does not drive are mentally crazy, wired incorrectly, unless a recognition of this great assumption is objected to pursue other paths (usually filled and overflowing with thoughts of "a greater overall happiness", sacrificing the now pleasure for a more or greater later pleasure)
It is mental evolution. Though questions arise, why do anything else than what makes you happy? There is often no answer unless it is deliberate rebellion of natural order, madness, or sacrificing for a greater later happiness.
We are social free willed robots. Pursue happiness, your definition of happiness.
Definitions are so often incorrect, as they are often, not thought of without enough thought before being defined in the human mind. Although on book and paper they are meticulously scrutinized over by intelligent officials of language common thought, in common brains, think very little before accepting as "close enough".
Later on when we are lost we are unaware that our previously thought "harmless" action of carelessness is the cause to almost most, if not all our problems. A closer look at what we believe to make us happy can easily remove most if not all our problems. However if not extracted perfectly the procedure can produce different, more and/or worse problems than before. Keep in faith that more mental surgery is needed and all the messes can be cleaned up. However, if left unattended and ignored death may occur. Excess bleeding of damaged thoughts of fatal nature will occur with any attempt to redefine the values and thoughts that have kept you alive so far. To quick a change in thought may lead you to eat a shotgun in an attempt to escape this new idea you are now overwhelmed with. Only the strong survive such mental procedures.
