So, since being married, I've had a couple of changes in my life, although not the ones usually associated with marriage, I guess.
First of all, as you can see from my new profile pic (which will hopefully be up for a short period, until I can take a better one), I've had a slight change in hairstyle. I got my haircut the Sunday after the wedding, before we left for our honeymoon, as you can see in my honeymoon pics. It looked really cute when I left the shop, and I was never able to make it do that again. So, the Saturday after we got back, I got really pissed at my hair and cut it myself, with Peter assisting me only on the back parts. I like it better now, saved myself $8, and I love being able to tell people I cut my hair myself.
Then, the next day, Peter and I both bleached our hair (since we both have short hair, we shared a box of hair dye, hehe). Mine came out that blondish orange color you can barely make out in the picture, and Peter's is (IMO) an orange color that looks very natural on him. The blonde is supposed to be a stage in my hair color adventures, and the next stage is either blue or red, depending on my employment situation in the next couple of weeks.
Speaking of employment, I do, in fact, have one new job. The day I got back from my honeymoon, I had a voicemail saying I'd gotten the job I interviewed for 3 days before the wedding. I'm nannying part-time for the most adorable 14 month old twin boys. The boys are a blast, and their dads (a gay couple adopting the boys) are super nice guys, so it's a nice, fun situation. Plus I'm making a buck or two. Unfortunately, it's super-part-time (only 12 hours a week), so I'm still on the job market, looking for another part-time gig. My most recent application went here, where I would love to work. It's one of the few places where I will actively pursue a position in retail.
Hey, while you guys are out and about, why don't you slide on over and congratulate my husband on his brand new labret piercing. It's super hot.
And I promise to make him post a new profile pic of his red-headed pierced hotness ASAP.
