Nice concert week, interlaced with a shitty week at work. Yin and yang I guess.

Monday : Depeche Mode in Lyon. First time I ever saw the band live, and it was quite good. I'm a big fan however, so I guess I expected an insanely good concert, which was not exactly what I got. They did more than the minimum, but something was lacking to make it really memorable. The venue was excruciatingly crap, so that doesn't help. They did play most of their best songs, plus a few surprises I didn't expect at all, and their performance was really excellent. I guess I was just waiting for something truly epic, which I didn't exactly get.

Thursday (yesterday) : Porcupine Tree in Lyon. Now ladies and gentlemen, that's what I call a fucking good concert. Third time I see Steven Wilson and the gang, and Jesus Christ do they know how to desintegrate space and time around them. I was really not disappointed, as always, and it was a truly flawless performance.

Now this saturday I'll probably go to Lyon again to see Sol Invictus, that should be an interesting darkfolk conclusion to an all-in-all great, great week.
