Been a few days since i posted. An old thought crept back into my head, something i have been considering for years. Im thinking about joining the Air Force. I want something that can give me a steady pay check and security. They say mechanics are needed, what a coincidence, thats what i studied in college. Except the unlike most shops and dealerships the Air Force doesnt care if i have had a couple speeding tickets in my past, just as long as im not a crazy habitual offender. My training school would be in Port Hueneme CA, which is close to someone that id like to make a good friend of mine lol.
Im just tired of only working 3 days a week and seeing my parents struggle to pay their bills. Portland, hell Oregon in general taxes the lower working class to death to pay for more useless shit we dont need. When you have one parent who is in their early 60's, no computer skills and has been at home raising kids for the past 21 years, and the other is nearly 60 with only basic computer skills and has been laid off because of this shitty economy, its hard to pay these taxes that seem to get higher and higher every year. I feel obligated to help them and myself to improve our quality of life. They never hesitated to give me whatever i needed, even if it was expensive and put them into more debt, its my turn to give back to them.
