Don't know why I got the urge to listen to Suddenly, Tammy!'s 1994 album "We Get There When We Do" -- but I'm glad I did. It is so beautiful and fun and graceful and nostalgic.
It really pisses me off when I think about the Grammy Awards and how they're supposed to honor the year's "best" music -- and bands like Suddenly, Tammy! don't get recognized and break up. Yeah, I know how the record industry works, but it doesn't stop me from a passionate hatred of the Grammys -- and I will resist them until the day I die.
A tough day today of arguing with my producing partner about final edits to my movie. But when it comes down to it, it's MY film and no matter how right he thinks he is and how many opinions he gets to support him, what I want is the fucking law.
He began talking about the next project and how he plans to proceed to get financing, and I can't help but think that he is trying to position himself so he can have more leverage for arguments about that one.
