A friend of mine suggested I set up a free Match.com profile, just to show me there are other women out there who share my interests and values - so I did.
My #1 match - my ex.
So she obviously hasn't changed at all - she's got this guy who I hear is "totally in love with her" - and I'm sure she says the same to him, yet she's got a profile on Match looking for someone to snuggle on the couch with and go to events with, because she needs a man there fo fend off all the creeps who would hit on her (meaning - that she'd be hitting on). She also lied and said she'd never been married.
I know I should b elated that I'm no longer stuck in that situation. I'm glad I'm not - it was miserable. Nor am I hapoy that she is continuing her behavior with her new men
I just read the list of things she likes to do that she have in common - and used to do together - and I got really sad. It was a sad weekend for me.
Part of me feels cheated - like screaming I'M THAT GUY! But she doesn't want someone who is on to her - she wants someone regular she can feed off of (this "love" of hers lives in NY). I know it has nothing to do with me or who I am.
But it really makes me feel as wanted as a condom in Kevin Federline's bedroom.

(Of course, when all you really want is a brilliant, creative, beautiful woman who's also a faithful FREAK in the sack - which is basically what I was, and am, holding out for - it's no picnic. But they're out there, dude - the ones for each of us - I just KNOW it.)
