Have been swamped with work and just haven't had a moment to update. Last Saturday night I joined a bunch of other geeks at Dukey Flyswatter's house to eat burgers and watch From Beyond. I remember liking it when it came out in the mid 80's and haven't seen it since. It made absolutely no sense at all. Can't imagine what I originally saw in...

Really Enjoyed Cineman's screening last night! Had seen the movie before, but there's something about the energy of a full room that enhances the experience! Not that he needs my approval, but he did an f'ing excellent job on the film and in organizing the screening.

Great to see all the SGers present and meet JuJuBe!

I'm so swamped with stuff it hurts my...

mostly i think i'm just curious about how much you spent to make the movie. oh and what you shot it with.
cineman:
I, too, think Jennifer Tilly - like many crazy women - is exceedingly hot. Great minds think alike yet again, I guess!

I'd like to update more tonight, but I just learned that Saturday nights=Gilmore Girls marathon! Later!

Many heartfelt thanks to the talented Cineman and friends for attending my screening! In spite of having to deal with a bunch of drama (isn't that what I have a manager for?) it was a blast! 3 hours just wasn't enough time to see 100+ friends, plus make new ones!

I AM glad it's over, though, so I can focus on new things. We recorded...

Hi! I'm back and stuff. Let's see what happens.

I'm having the first LA screening for my movie this Wednesday at CineSpace in Hollywood. I'm pretty excited to have all my friends there.

Watch the trailer

I ran into JeremyScareme at the Masters of Horror party a few weeks ago. Random and fun.

Anyway, come join fellow SGers, filmmakers and porn stars at my screening....

Great times, Thanks for the invite and it was nice meeting you
cineman:
Hey bro! Great to see you and it's about damn time I saw the film! I really enjoyed it, and my friends liked it, too. They kept pestering me for details about the production, and for the most part I had to say, "I don't KNOW - you'll have to ask Todd!". tongue I can say that SET is even more eager to work with you now she and Kim both thought the film was really funny and very well done.

And I'm sorry I didn't get to meet Heidi or Andy and if the conversation to that end was awkward. But since she had expressed some positive inclinations towards the previous rough cut, I am eager to replace that previous impression with this new cut which is much, much better. And as for Andy, I've been thinking more and more about getting an original score done so the piece could be sold if there was interest. Since I like his previous work (both with SW and on my friend Tracis film Five OClock Shadow that he did with Keith Joyner) and I thought he did a great job for you on "Demon", so I'd be curious to get his take on my film and see if 1) he'd be interested in the first place, and 2) if I could possibly afford him.

Anyway, lets talk soon, thanks for the invite, and congrats on the great turnout and funny, funny movie cheers!

Well, I'm back from New York yet again, which was lovely and I ate like a swine. But, you just can't put food in front of me and expect me to not eat it - that's like putting a video camera in front of Paris Hilton and telling her she can't have sex.

And speaking of which, as is tradition while I'm midtown, I stroll...

My trip to Trystburg was awesome! It is lovely there and boy, did I have fun! Here's a few facts about the girl herself that you might not know:

1) She has the most awesomest bowling approach ever.

2) While you are getting a hotel room for yourself, she will not pretend she is your wife and get in a fake fight with you in...

Maxx wasn't my Friend for a few hours, but now he is again.

For those of you who watched the Parade, it went as smoothly as it ever has. It was strange. No problems to solve - I didn't almost fall asleep. It was 66 degrees - although - I was inside Studio 8H the whole time. Didn't at all suck and met some cool...

She went anon, she didn't boot us. Although it still hurts! *sniff*

How's the Parade Prep going? I start shooting next Friday (pushed it back a day) and aside from needing a few locations, everything else is set. My cast is fucking GREAT, my crew is tight, lean, and eager, and at times I have been running on so much pure adrenaline that I have been making myself sick. But as things come together and get closer to commencing I actually find I'm settling down, like a Trappist monk getting ready to fast for days. Other than the aforementioned few location issues, there is not much else technical I have to attend to, so I can finally put (almost) all of my efforts and energies into the creative.

I am ready.

Good luck with your gig - I'll look for your name in the credits! And say hi to LH and TB next time you see them.
maxx:
yeah. she's awesome. do you know her?

While signing at the Big Apple Comic Con yesterday, a random model came up and was pimping herself to me for potential film roles. She asked if I came all the way out from LA for the convention and I told her, "No - I'm in town working on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade."

Her response: "Really?! When is that?"

Ahhhh.

surlyclown:
That is too classic. And sad. And common.

I hope the signings are going well.

It was probably a truck fire. Hopefully that wasn't your only copy. eeek

Dude, I realize I never sent you my new short script, the one I'm directing in (oh my God) a few weeks. I'm really proud of it and want to show it to you and hear your thoughts. Check your email later.

I'm casting all day tomorrow (Friday). Over 40 actresses coming out to read for two roles (Jessica and Clementine, for when you're familiar with the script) in 10-minute time slots. Yikes!

Oh, and did I mention that they are, without exception, hotter-than-the-surface-of-the-SUN hot? Just checking.

Cheers!
cineman:
DUDE! Are they in town, or are you in NYC?

Wow...

Given the response, that's TOTALLY cool that you told her that! So it wasn't a bad thing in her eyes, huh?

How long will they be here? I am casting all day tomorrow and have stuff intermittently on the weekend days, but will MAKE time to hang with you and those two. Let me know.

And I really need to corral you sometime before I shoot for a Scotch-soaked mano-a-mano regarding any and all directing tips and wisdom you can be compelled to impart on my impressionable young mind. Hopefully early this coming week pre-Turkey Day might work?
