1st big news:

Check out the trailer for my new book THE LIVING AND THE DEAD

It's a 128 page, full color original graphic novel published by Speakeasy Comics. Street date is October 5th, but is available for pre-order this month at any comic store, book seller or online retailer (except Amazon).

I'm excited to have the Afterword written by noted horror authority David J....

Re the top secret good news: FUCK YEAH, my friend! "Cheers" doesn't even begin to cover it.

Serious congrats are in order here and I'm very excited for you. Also looking forward to hanging out sometime this month, hopefully, maybe when your friend is visiting. I will look at my schedule and see if I will be here at all during that timeframe and maybe we can all grab a drink or something.

Rock on.
danielle:
i won't be in the hospital in california.
i feel like 60% better today.

This is a pre-update update.

Big news x2 coming up this week.

Will spill when I am able.
cineman:
You'll spill to me on the phone Sunday morning, dammit! I was dying to hear the news after your message and am sorry we didn't connect tonight.

(My cell phone's all cracked out so I missed your call on your way home tonight. The voicemail just popped up a bit ago. I'll try you on my way back into Hollywood in the late morning.)

I bet this is good - I can't wait! Whatever it is, congrats. smile
surlyclown:
Well, a pre-congrats congrats. We should drink soon.

So, Comic-Con? It seems like a million year ago blur. Thursday night was the lame Mirror Mask party - then bailed to just hung at the Hyatt bar Heidi Martinuzzi, Caroline Pierce, zombiequeen and colleagues.

Friday night: Lion's Gate party, then Femme Fatales party, then Rue Morgue party. Whew!

Saturday night: the Speakeasy party at Rouge burlesque club, then Hyatt for final night drinking.

No...

Jesus, think you could party some more? I don't think you're partying enough! I forget that you're on here. Hell, I forget that I'M on here sometimes. We need to stay in touch better. I guess I might need minutes on my phone, eh? ugh........ xoxo

The sequel to last year's Rondo award-winning graphic novel (for Best Horror Comic) is out in stores on September 7th - and is featured in this month's issue of Previews!

The biggest complaint I heard about the original book is that it sold out quickly (some complaint!) and that it was hard to find in stores.

The SOLUTION: If you want a copy - the...

I just may do that. I've been wanting to take a local trip for awhile and this could be just the thing. I may have my Mercedes by then, too - I'm buying a cool older one from my pal Blue - so that'd be a good way to break it in.
cineman:
Copy "long-ass drive". The first time I went to SD was to see a girl I used to see who'd moved down there. I have NO idea why I thought it was just south of Long Beach! It took about hours of me hauling MAJOR ass once I realized how hopeless it was. She was cool about my tardiness but it was still a drag.

Then the drive home! Oy vey.

The world never ceases to amaze me. I am the Hunk of the Month on Pretty-Scary.net, a website devoted to women in horror run by women in horror. Each month they elect a Scary Stud to profile. June is Comics month, so they chose me. It's pretty funny and worth reading, even if you have to look at a bunch of pictures of me...

Don't sweat it; I cancelled the event due to lack of interest. But sorry to hear you have a cold. What's happening Thursday - are you starting a new gig or making an appearance somewhere? I hope you feel better beforehand.

when?? kiss

Wasted 16 perfectly good dollars on Star Wars. The scenes that weren't computer generated beauty shots were filled with insipid dialog between 2 boring characters about what happened in the previous scene - then followed immediately by actions that were completely unmotivated. Probably to just wrap things up quickly (and by "quickly - I mean 2 1/2 hours).

Emporer to Annakin: "Your new name will...

Just been to see it and you do have a point.

I didn't think it was that bad, but with all the build up and the waiting, if I was Lucas I would have made sure that this one blew everything else away and the reality was it was really just a very small puff.

I enjoyed most of it but really feel that could have done so much more.

Ho hum I'm off to underestimate the Dark Side,

i'm glad you took a moment to give a shout out to mcGregor's guinness. that was possibly the most satisfying thing of the prequels.

Finished the hell show on Thursday. Friday was pretty cool - wrapped up in the office, which means I basically did nothing and got paid a full day for it, then got called to do a shoot for Friday evening at Disneyland with John Stamos. When I got there, there was literally nothing for me to do. I was just there for emotional security, I...

Glad you're done with that nightmare of a gig. Maybe we'll get to hang sometime soon - well, after I get back from Seattle, then get done with the "Divas" talent search I am doing for the WWE here the next week, etc...

Perfect 10 is da shizzle. Haven't seen it in years or met your friend but I am jealous nonetheless!

Congrats on the casting news. Things must be happening in that case, which is good.

Traded emails with Andy. I am gonna see what I have to replace before taking up too much of his time, but he's open to working with me at least, so that's cool.

I really really want to find a gig to direct - for money, even very little - so much I can literally taste it.

How're things progressing on the short? We need to chat about that, assuming you still want me involved in the roles we discussed previously.

Okay, Danielle is moving, so her computer is all packed up and she can't get online, so I'm going to take this opportunity to tell you all sorts of shit about her and she'll never know! Hahahahahaha!

1) She cleans her house like 750 times a week.
2) When she's drunk, she likes to smash things.
3) She was the first woman on the moon,...

Real quick-like, cuz I have no time of my own.

Am doing a comedy pass on a film called The Boys, which is an American remake of the biggest grossing French-Canadian film of all time.

Still developing a bunch of comics.

Pitching a series to the Sci-Fi Channel.

I can't think straight I have so much stuff to do.

Need to talk to about 100...

Dude: you wanna hear a crazy work schedule? Read my new journal. Oy vey!

The upside is that there are so many good things blossoming for me right now that I'm literally dizzy trying to wrap my head around them. I think stuff is about to blow up for a lot of us in a major, and good, way - for me, you, certain other friends we have, etc.

It's a good time to be alive and in the film business, my friend - right? smile
