I've been attempting to take some body shots of myself for the past few days, but I don't like any of them. Don't get me wrong, my body is looking great. What isn't looking great is my neck. While I'm not the skinniest chick around, I have this double chin that makes me look like I'm 50lbs heavier than I actually am. Its more disheartening...

Thanks for the sweet comment on my set! It really made my day
Changed my picture, again. I really like this one because it shows off the green in my eyes. My eyes are actually hazel, but they do turn green sometimes. I'm also wearing my Prada glasses, my favourite pair. Still figuring out the settings on the camera because I'm taking more manual shots now as opposed to the automatic settings. So far, the results have been...

Nice new photo
Hope your headache has gone. two days is a long time for a headache - you not going to have it checked?
The camera is smart. Was your last one a Canon too? I know at least one of theirs has a 12x zoom (including the one i have my eye on).
on the lost work - yeah, I should do that but same as you: I never get into the habit either. In fact I have had my notepad program open in my taskbar all evening - would have only taken a moment to bring that up and write in that instead. I keep forgettingt to 'save' though & have lost work on those too.
Hope your next weekend is better.

I spent the day building a model for one of my classes today. Not terribly exciting, I know.
Oh, if you haven't gone to the iPod section of the site yet and checked out the Italian Villa Podcast, do so! You also need to see the trailer, just to listen to Manko talk. I LOVE her voice! If you haven't seen her video yet either,...

that is so adorable!
I got my new digital camera today! See, the Alberta Provincial government had an insane surplus this past fiscal year and decided to give back some of the money to Albertans, they submitted a 2004 tax return and weren't in a provincial penetentary. All eligible Albertans received $400 to do with however they pleased. I've been looking at this little beauty for six months now,...

Oh good for you a windfall !! I've been lucky enough to benefit from the de-mutualisation of building societies into banks and go $3K US off one of them years ago.
Your zoom range sounds fine though Australians probably wouldnt give a 4X for it
(you probably don't get that do you?)
I find the flash on my SLR rather vicious, it would be nice it had a swivelling head to bounce the light - I sometimes hold a tissue over it to diffuse the light.
Please don't mention Swarovski - I was held captive in a Swarovski shop in Vienna until I coughed up for a ring.
Foamcore modelling that's softcore rather than hardcore
Sounds fun to me ....

Ok well there's a brand of Oz beer called Castlemaine XXXX so they used to have zany ads which played on the XXXX in place of the f*word.
Just say No to Swarovski

I love American Idol when its in the audition stage. 'Nuff said.
I've been having an allergic reation to something since Saturday night. I was at Jay's house watching a movie when I started to feel itchy. I came home only to discover that my clevage was covered in hives. It didn't make sense at the time because I hadn't really come into a lot...

That's loody annoying and not pleasant, I expect. Bah.
I hear that Cowell has got into trouble for his remarks in American Idol. So much so it made our news, anyway.
You kind of saw the whole election thing coming though, didn't you?

My parents finally get back from London today. I don't know, I've missed talking to my mom whenever I want during the day while she's been gone. She did call when she was gone, but the conversations were generally kept short as they were on my dad's mobile and she didn't want to waste his minutes. Yes, my dad is over there so much that...

I found my first gray hair today.
So, add it to the fact that my eyes have gone to shit (I need distance vision and reading glasses. I'm in too much denial about it to get bifocals), I just feel old. At the granding FUCKING age of 20.
By the time I'm 30, I'll have false teeth!!!
Alright, enough exaggeration. I still feel old though.

Yo, I'm way older than you. Don't worry so much about things like that. Hair is just hair, I'm a big supporter of the "young at heart" thing.

Thank you - the photo doesn't show the chaotic entanglement of bobbins behind it though. I miscounted one lousy stitch this afternoon and had to unknit 110 stitches to get back to it
Can you do that with crochet or are you stuffed if it goes awry??

OK, seriously, if you haven't seen this board on Everything SG, you've really been missing out. I first read it a few days ago and almost pissed my pants laughing. I figured I needed another laugh today, so I read it again. My god, the people on this site kill me sometimes

I don't use cue cards anymore, although I did to start with. I usually use Powerpoint, and the slide bullets themselves for guidance.

Once I've caught up the news/weather I flip the TV over to the classic music video channel (not quite as boring as it sounds) or to MTV Dance depending on my mood and the shit they're showing. I don't do radio at all but I use my iPod at work and the same polar opposites of classics or dance.
I currently
listening to Andrea Bocelli and Wonderful Life by Tina Cousins.
London is good sometimes but costly to be around. They could do with more oxygen in there too. I found a great way to go up Oxford Street was in the lee of the pavement cleaning machine.
Shake that there virus off or I'll have to reformat you
