Alright, in response to my last entry, my dad is fine. He was in a meeting when the explosions went off and with the congestion/disabling mobile signals, it was impossible to get a hold of him. Thankfully, he called my mom to say that he was alright. I would have posted that, but I had to run to work.
This is the second time that my heart has been filled with terror over my dad; the first time was in 1998 when he was in Iraq trying to get contracts to drill wells there (and, before we get into this, it was for Oil for Food and way before there were issues established with that). Anyways, he was there when Bill Clinton decided to have Baghdad bombed just before his impeachment trial. My dad got out of Baghdad- getting word from someone that it was going to happen- four hours before the bombs went off.
So, today hasn't been that great to start off with. I then got to work, only to find out that my supervisor was trying to get incontact with me to tell me she cancelled my shift for today and that I missed the call. I stayed at work and did training anyways. I really hate it how she wants to cut back my hours when I'm only working 12 hours a week to begin with.
