Happy Friday the 13th and full moon everyone!

Alright, taking the advice of mat8drb and cdt21, this entry has been written in Microsoft Word and pasted into my journal so I dont lose it once again. I figured I might as well go with Word as I really cant stand Notepad. Plus, word as a spell check wink

cdt21, yes, Im still with the boyfriend. I still love him deeply and he continues to put the biggest smile on my face biggrin Yeah, kinda like that wink

Also, for cdt21, let me see if I can even remember what I wrote about AutoCAD and go from there. I think part of the entry had to do with how much Ive learned as of late and how impressed I am with myself. Last semester, I knew how to lay out a basic floor plan with doors and windows, now I know how to add dimension lines (very important for working drawings) and how to add hatching detail so you can tell what is concrete and what is wood. I see myself being really successful with CAD as I catch onto various function with it very quickly. Its more or less learning how to use a graphics program. Heres an example of what Im doing right now (its not all done yet):

This is a deck addition to a house. For those in the architectural know, itll be attached to the house (which has an 8 concrete foundation wall) with a 2X8 ledger strip. The red part thats off to the right hand side is the stairs for those who are wondering. For those who arent in the architectural know, this is a plan view.

This is called a section view. The white blocky area near the bottom of the drawing is hatching representing the earth. Cool, huh?

Theres my CAD speech. I hope you all enjoyed.

My parents are in London for the week. I'm stuck here. Colour me jealous. My mom's promised to bring me back some houseware nicknacks from Harrods (specifically these fancy measuring spoons. I'm not sure what the spoons are made out of, but they're HEAVY. Still very pretty) and candy, but its not the same. I MISS LONDON!!!!!!

To wrap this up, I now have a few new songs playing in my car that Im listening to over and over again. Im sad to say that right now it isnt Queen, but I havent forgotten my love for UK music entirely. Ive gone very 80s pop and Ive been listening to:
Wham!- Wake Me Up Before You Go Go
Culture Club- Karma Kameleon
Rick Astley- Never Gonna Give You Up.

Yes, children, Ive been listening to happy 80s music. It makes getting up early in the morning so much easier. Plus, I love Boy George and I havent been listening to his music a whole lot as of late. Im really not sure why.

Any songs you like to listen to first thing in the morning when going to school/work/downing that first cup of coffee thatll determine the plan for the rest of the day?

EDIT: So, I was up until 4:00 with my stomach cramping and running to the bathroom quite a bit. Apparently this has to do with the virus I contracted from my roommate, but I can't see Jay as a result. I asked him if he wanted to come over and feed me grapes and chicken noodle soup, but he declined. I really don't understand why wink

That's very impressive with the AutoCAD work I shall revere your technical skills in future wink

Once I've caught up the news/weather I flip the TV over to the classic music video channel (not quite as boring as it sounds) or to MTV Dance depending on my mood and the shit they're showing. I don't do radio at all but I use my iPod at work and the same polar opposites of classics or dance.

I currently love listening to Andrea Bocelli and Wonderful Life by Tina Cousins.

London is good sometimes but costly to be around. They could do with more oxygen in there too. I found a great way to go up Oxford Street was in the lee of the pavement cleaning machine. smile

Shake that there virus off or I'll have to reformat you biggrin
