I was talking on the phone with a friend when call waiting went off. I pressed the flash button and got a call from a man possibly creepier than the guy who likes to call up WVUM and talk about phallic objects. I heard an unfamiliar voice, and this guy asks me who he's speaking with, which isn't unusual, because hey, it could be a business associate of my parents', right? I tell him my name, and ask him who he's calling for and who he is, and he says he doesn't know who he's calling, but I'm talking to Ken, my future husband.
Ew. If there's one slang word from the '80s I wish would come back into fashion, it's "grody." And how.
Anyhow, I tell him I'm hanging up on him because he's really creeping me out, and he's all, "Don't be so quick to judge," and I say I have someone on the other line, which is actually true for once.

yeah those creepers are good when I'm 5' 9" and the girl i dated was 5' 8.5" and wore heels all the time. ah, but i don't have to worry about that any more. reason #20 to break up with her.
i am not lying. my roommate recently told me she wants to be a Luke and Owen Wilson sandwich. I said, "Wow, you'd trust that two men wouldn't be too much for you?" (she has previous exp. with a man and a woman). She said, "As long as they didn't forget about me and go off on their own". her desired effect from that comment was immediately manifest, as I became mortified and whitefaced.
