Well, I started my first class tonight with the Taoist Tai Chi society. Very strange and interesting for a couple of reasons:
- I think I was one of the rare people there whose hair didn't grow in a shade of grey or white naturally.
- Virtually the only physical activity where its recommended that you NOT drink water. They give us a tea break half-way in, and it's only about one mouthful of liquid that they give you. We're supposed to keep the body warm to support healthy Chi movement.
- The simpler it looks the more correctly its being done.
- NONE of the instructors gets paid. They're all volunteers. So you know that they actually give a shit about what they're doing.
- I really didn't effing care if I looked like the biggest moron in the gym as long as I got things right in the end. Usually I try to look good in front of others. I hate looking like an idiot.
I'm really glad that I actually got off my sorry ass, got out of the house, and signed up for something that takes a commitment. I just really hope I can pull through with it. It would be really nice to finish something FOR ONCE. I have "commitment issues."

BTW the clothing was a limited run by one of the DJ's I know, as a joke
Also, I do have a lot of friends who love the place too. Maybe I'm just insane... Yea, that's it
